"Porpoise Song" as written by and Gerry/king Goffin....
My, my the clock in the sky is pounding away
And there's so much to say
A face, a voice, an overdub has no choice
An image cannot rejoice
Wanting to be
To hear and to see
Flying to the sky
But the porpoise is laughing goodbye - goodbye
Goodbye - goodbye - goodbye
Clicks, clacks riding the backs of giraffes for laughs
Is alright for awhile
The ego sings of castles and kings and things
That go with a life of style
Wanting to feel
To know what is real
Living is a lie
But the porpoise is waiting goodbye - goodbye
Goodbye - goodbye - goodbye

General CommentI have this song by the MONKEES, doesnt anyone know who they are? they're not even listed as an artist from what i can see! well, i dunno about the wondermints, but the monkees did this song for "HEAD" they're psycadellic hippie movie....so this version is very spacey and sounds like they're on LSD....check out the monkees version, its sweet
