"I Need You" as written by and George Harrison....
You don't realize how much I need you,
Love you all the time
And never leave you.
Please come on back to me.
I'm lonely as can be.
I need you.
Said you had a thing or two to tell me.
How was I to know
You would upset me?
I didn't realize
As I looked in your eyes
You told me, oh yes, you told me you don't want my lovin' anymore.
That's when it hurt me and feeling like this
I just can't go on anymore
Please remember how I feel about you,
I could never really live without you
So, come on back and see
Just what you mean to me
I need you
But when you told me, you don't want my lovin' anymore
That's when it hurt me and feeling like this, I just can't go on anymore

Please remember how I feel about you,
I could never really live without you
So, come on back and see
Just what you mean to me
I need you

I need you
I need you

General CommentI like this song a lot. One of my favorites from HELP! I think the use of that dreamy guitar sound was before it's time.

General CommentThis song is really sweet. It's short and simple, but the point comes across. Cute. It's the kind of song you only hope someone will one day write for you!

General CommentI think this song is as good as some of the better Lennon/McCartney songs. I think it's strange that George didn't comment on the song in his I Me Mine book. I agree with MrLongrove on the guitar sound in this song.

General CommentThis is just a very lovely and pleasant sounding song to me. I often hum it to myself. And yes, I agree that the "dreamy guitar sound" really makes this song special, just as MrLongrove said. I sometimes wish I could see concert footage of George performing this song in his solo career but I doubt he ever did it.
