walking down babylon lane
trying to live my life in peace
two young men call me not their brother
they try to make I feel ashamed

Chorus:
but I luv I jah yeah, he tell me not to be that way
I luv I jah yeah, I gotta keep my P.M.A.

my lovely sister, judge me by my clothes, yeah
only to learn her mistake, not everyone's alike
we're not all uptight
no fuss no fight
cool that way
cool that way

Chorus

I luv I jah.

Jah isnt pot. As dan2313 said it is the rasta name for god. "I Jah" is just like saying "my god". rastas aren't fans of using possesive pronouns and so use I instead of me, my. its to symbolise equality or soemthing or another I think....

Jah comes from the bible actually. we've all heard the word "Hallelujah!" well that means praise God in old texts (hebrew perhaps, idk), God being Jah.

Jah, Yahweh, Jehovah, all being GOD in one way or another. Jah is also another version of the name Jehovah, or God.

unity4peace is WAY OFF! Jah means "God" its mentioned in the Bible I love I Jah is Rasta Patois for saying "I love my God" Rasta are infamous for saying I instead "my"

This song is about when "they"(Bad Brains) first became Rasta's (they lost abit of there fan base due to this) They say "gotta keep that P.M.A. ("Positive Mental Attitude"-"Think and Grow Rich") no matter what people say, or think about us. we still got that "P.M.A".

Fortnight
Taylor Swift
The song 'Fortnight' by Taylor Swift and Post Malone tells a story about strong feelings, complicated relationships, and secret wishes. It talks about love, betrayal, and wanting someone who doesn't feel the same. The word 'fortnight' shows short-lived happiness and guilty pleasures, leading to sadness. It shows how messy relationships can be and the results of hiding emotions. “I was supposed to be sent away / But they forgot to come and get me,” she kickstarts the song in the first verse with lines suggesting an admission to a hospital for people with mental illnesses. She goes in the verse admitting her lover is the reason why she is like this. In the chorus, she sings about their time in love and reflects on how he has now settled with someone else. “I took the miracle move-on drug, the effects were temporary / And I love you, it’s ruining my life,” on the second verse she details her struggles to forget about him and the negative effects of her failure. “Thought of callin’ ya, but you won’t pick up / ‘Nother fortnight lost in America,” Post Malone sings in the outro.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,
