"Canned Heat" as written by and Jason/smith Kay....
You know this boogie is for real.
I used to buy my faith in worship,
But then my chance to get to Heaven slipped.
I used to worry about the future
But then I throw my caution to the wind.
I had no reason to be care free
No no no, until I took a trip to the other side of town
Yeah yeah yeah, you know I heard that boogie rhythm
Hey- I had no choice but to get down down down down.

Dance, nothing left for me to do but dance,
Off these bad times I'm going through just dance
Got canned heat in my heals tonight baby

I feel the thunder see the lightning
I know this anger's heaven sent.
So I've got to hang out all my hang-ups
Because of the boogie I feel so hell bent
It's just an instant gut reaction, that I got
I know I never ever felt like this before,
I don't know what to do
But then that's nothing new,
Stuck between hell and high water
I need a cure to make it through.

Hey- dancing nothing left for me to do but dance
Off these bad times I'm going through just dance,
Hey got canned heat in my heals tonight baby
You know know know I'm gonna dance yeah
Off all the nasty things that people say.

Gonna dance, gonna dance my blues away tonight
Dance, come on got canned heat in my heals tonight
Canned heat in my heals tonight.

General CommentThis song is about a guy who is under a lot of stress, but he just decides, "Fuck it, I'm just gonna dance and have some fun."

General CommentDance is a metaphor for sex, you people, it's be done for ages in UK in many many songs, it's a writer's secret, writer 101: when you want to talk about sex you use the word dance or walk, obvious.

General Comment"I used to worry about the future
But then I throw my caution to the wind..." After writing songs about war and greedy politicians and dying animals, ppl etc. there must have just come a point when it must have been getting jay down so much, and that nobody was paying much attention to his opinions, that he decided to just... dance.

General CommentI think that Jay is the most talented Funk singer, and he is such a pimp! So i think that dancing is just a way to get something off your mind, because your feet move naturally to a beat as with your wholee body. And Jamiroquai just doesn't get the fans that he should have because that band's music is the best dance music(Chours Style) in the world.

General CommentAs Spider6333 and kindacrazy alludes to, the highlight to the overrated film Napoleon Dynamite is when the eponymous character dances to this song. The only time I laughed...
