I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

i love the black as night cold as ice part sounds so good i mena i cant just sit still when i hear that part. i like the double bass at the begining very cool.
The imagery in this song is pretty cool. It's just an overdose of gothic, dark shit, but it works somehow. And the opening to the song is great. I think maybe its just a reflection on life, all the stuff it involves, in this case a lot of the darker aspects.

I am a huge poetry buff and I LOVE words and analyzing songs and stories and shit ( as wierd as that sounds I assure you I'm not a nerd or a freak) and their lyrics are the epitome of perfection. they capture emotion with their words and music in a way that I've never seen (or heard) any band do, ever! Yeah, some musicians have a few songs that can do that but not EVERY SONG. the only ( AND I MEAN THE ONLY) song by a7x where the lyrics leave something to be desired is Thick and Thin. So if it's retardation that's the problem then I can't help you but if it IS a reading problem, then maby try some fucking Hooked on Phonics.
