"Silent Hedges" as written by Daniel Gaston Ash, Kevin Haskins, David Jay and Peter John Murphy....
Following the silent hedges
Needing some other kind of madness
Looking into purple eyes
Sadness at the corners
Works of art with a minimum of steel

Pure sensation
The beautiful down grade
Going to hell again
Going to hell again

Self confidence leaks
From a thousand wounds
Faults of civilization
Burning the private paradise of dreams
Minus hands of the electric clock
Clock
Clock
Clock

What happens when the intoxication of success has evaporated?

Pure sensation
The beautiful down grade
Going to hell again
Going to hell again
Again
Again
Again

General CommentI have a lot of strange dreams and usually when I dream there is a song playing in the background... for one dream this song was the soundtrack and it was a particularly odd dream... one that I feel deserves to be made into a video. I might turn this into a video soon... and also "Hungry like the wolf" I know that all this has nothing to do with the songs meaning but I just thought I would share some of my nonsense with the masses!

General CommentA lot of these lyrics seem to come from the book 'Brave New World' by Aldous Huxley...

General Comment"It was in the lowest spirits that he taxied across to his work at the Conditioning Centre. *The intoxication of success had evaporated*; he was soberly his old self; and by contrast with the temporary balloon of these last weeks, the old self seemed unprecedentedly heavier than the surrounding atmosphere."

""Precisely. But that requires the most enormous ingenuity. You're making flivvers out of the absolute *minimum of steel*—*works of art* out of practically nothing but *pure sensation*." "

General Comment"Bernard, by this time, was fast asleep and smiling at the private paradise of his dreams. Smiling, smiling. But inexorably, every thirty seconds, the *minute hand of the electric clock* above his bed jumped forward with an almost imperceptible click."
