When your love has moved away
You must face yourself and say
I remember better days
Don't you cry `cause she is gone
She is only moving on
Chasing mirrors through a haze
Now that you know it's nowhere
What's to stop you coming home
All you got to do is go there
Then you'll really realize what's going down
You went to a strange land searching for a truth
You felt was wrong
That's when the heartaches started
Though you're where you want to be
You're not where you belong
When your love has moved away
You must face yourself and you must say
I remember better days
Don't you cry `cause she is gone
She is only moving on
Chasing mirrors through a haze

    My Interpretation

I think this song means that you can't look for love hence the quote "Though you're where you want to be You're not where you belong" Meaning that you just have to live your life for the better days.

    My Interpretation

I believe the song is about two individuals in love, she is pursuing something she thinks will make her happy. But when she gets there the reality of disappointment occurs. "chasing mirrors through a haze" its an illusion. When that person realizes its all BS the other lover is there to say there is nothing stopping you from coming back, knowing full well she had to at least go see for herself. "don't you cry because she is gone, she is only moving on" to find the truth, which will ultimately put right back where she was.

I came to this because Im currently going through it, she had to go see for herself... It just matches and hits every one of my internal chords so dead on.

I like to believe that the song speaks about hapiness. I asume it explains that when you feel it is gone, you wont find it anywhere but inside you, "don´t you cry cause she is gone... ...now that you know is nowhere... ...all you have to do is go there".

This song is written for Achilles. Agnamenmon wrongfully takes Achilles’ prize, a woman. The woman, a prize Achilles loved*, in effect moved on and thats when the heartache for Achilles’ started. Graham is telling Achilles to find catharis in the anagnorisis that what is going down is he needs to get back home. In what context is Graham telling Achilles to remember better days? What does ‘chasing mirrors through a haze’ mean? I know its nowhere close to the answer. I’m a beginner.

    Song Fact

Love this song, love this album, Songs for Beginners. Graham Nash had recently broken up with Joni Mitchell, the inspiration for many of the songs on this album. If you like this song, then give yourself a treat and listen to the album. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Songs_for_Beginners

    My Interpretation

It’s a song about a singer who’s telling himself to live in reality.

His former lover left him, and he’s been searching for the truth, proof that his former lover actually loved him and still does.

When he sees that she finally admits to loving him (that’s where he wants to be, is to be with her when she admits to loving him), it’s too late/it’s not where he belongs… she’s just going through the grieving process, and looking within herself (chasing mirrors/finding herself).

Vieni con me, dammi la mano Dammi il numero, ti chiamo Che ti porterò lontano Oggi mi sento fortunato Come Lucky Luciano Ci vediamo in aereoplano Gira tutto, è un uragano, con te Non aspettarti un mio messaggio Aspettami domani, ci desideriamo Ora sarà il sole che ci coloriamo Latino americano Olè olè olè (olà) Olè olè olè (olà) Ti conosco da due ore e già so che ti amo Amo solo con te Vivo solo con te Ballo solo con te Perché ti amo Ti amo, ti amo, ti amo Ti amo, ti amo, ti- Ti amo, ti amo, ti amo Ti amo, ti amo, ti- Un altro giro di tequila Si muove come una ballerina Guidami tu facciamo prima Cambio umore se cambia il clima Si fida solo dell'amica Restiamo qui fino a mattina Il primo bacio, adrenalina Sorridiamo, viva la vita Nei tuoi occhi sembra di nuotare Nei miei occhi invece vedo solo te Togli quelle scarpe, corri verso il mare Sorridono tutti se sorridi te Mi capisce, non serve parlare Apriamo le ali come dei gabbiani Ti insegno a volare, se non lo sai fare Basta che scegli me Amo solo con te Vivo solo con te Ballo solo con te Perché ti amo Ti amo, ti amo, ti amo Ti amo, ti amo, ti- Ti amo, ti amo, ti amo Ti amo, ti amo, ti-

No Surprises
Radiohead
Same ideas expressed in Fitter, Happier are expressed in this song. We're told to strive for some sort of ideal life, which includes getting a good job, being kind to everyone, finding a partner, getting married, having a couple kids, living in a quiet neighborhood in a nice big house, etc. But in Fitter, Happier the narrator(?) realizes that it's incredibly robotic to live this life. People are being used by those in power "like a pig in a cage on antibiotics"--being pacified with things like new phones and cool gadgets and houses while being sucked dry. On No Surprises, the narrator is realizing how this life is killing him slowly. In the video, his helmet is slowly filling up with water, drowning him. But he's so complacent with it. This is a good summary of the song. This boring, "perfect" life foisted upon us by some higher powers (not spiritual, but political, economic, etc. politicians and businessmen, perhaps) is not the way to live. But there is seemingly no way out but death. He'd rather die peacefully right now than live in this cage. While our lives are often shielded, we're in our own protective bubbles, or protective helmets like the one Thom wears, if we look a little harder we can see all the corruption, lies, manipulation, etc. that is going on in the world, often run by huge yet nearly invisible organizations, corporations, and 'leaders'. It's a very hopeless song because it reflects real life.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
