"Magnolia" as written by and J.j. Cale....
Whippoorwill's singing
Soft summer breeze
Makes me think of my baby
I left down in New Orleans
I left down in New Orleans
Magnolia, you sweet thing
You're driving me mad
Got to get back to you, babe
You're the best I ever had
You're the best I ever had
You whisper "Good morning"
So gently in my ear
I'm coming home to you, babe
I'll soon be there
I'll soon be there

General CommentI grew up listening to my mom's JJ Cale records, and this song is one of my favorites. It's a wonder nobody has commented on it, as it is gorgeous musically and lyrically. Anytime I'm away from my gf for an extended period of time, this song is always there to soothe me.
