"Never Ending Math Equation" as written by and Brock/judy/green....
I'm the same as I was when I was 6 years old
And oh my God I feel so damn old
I don't really feel anything
On a plane, I can see the tiny lights below

And oh my God, they look so alone
Do they really feel anything?
Oh my God, I've gotta gotta gotta gotta move on
Where do you move when what you're moving from

Is yourself?
The universe works on a math equation
that never even ever really ends in the end
Infinity spirals out creation

We're on the tip of its tongue, and it is saying
We ain't sure where you stand
You ain't machines and you ain't land
And the plants and the animals, they are linked

And the plants and the animals eat each other
Oh my God and oh my cat
I told my Dad what I need
Well I know what I have and want

But I don't know what I need
Well, he said he said he said he said
"Where we're going I'm dead."

My OpinionI don't think there's a struggle between science or religion in this song. And this song definitely isn't about the unified theory because nothing about it implies an attempt to understand a theory, just that the universe functions as a never ending equation, which he considers infinity. Isaac Brock is explaining his "religion" is that life is like a never ending math equation, self replicating and extending infinitely. Which is close to my own idea of reality but he's basically saying that the universe follows a law of infinity, creating itself and expanding itself. Anywhere you look, in nature, in people, in physics, everything follows a fundamental pattern of growth, death, reproduction, and repetition. Essentially it follows a pattern almost mathematical that never really ends but instead increases exponentially. The plants and animals are connected is that same kind of thing, that there is a balance and a cycle of some sort. I really feel that he sees the universe as something composed of patterns and cycles..

    Lyric CorrectionFew corrections:

    Is yourself?
The universe works on a math equation
that never even ever really even has any end
    Infinity spirals out creation

And the plants and the animals eat each other
Oh my God and oh my cat
I told myself what I need
Well I know what I have and want

    But I don't know what I need
Well, he said he said he said he said
    "Bad words don't weigh nothin'"
I spent my whole life in a sea of pain
    Don't know what's right, but I know what ain't

General CommentDid you realize when he said "Oh my God and oh my cat" that God is DOg backwards? Oh my dog and oh my cat.

Now that's brilliance! Like this song. Which I have no idea what it means.

General CommentI think this is about that overwhelming feeling of meaninglessness in the face of life, the universe, and everything. When you feel old and not anything at all. Where do you move when you want to move from yourself, is an eloquent emotion. The feeling doesn't end and you don't know who you are. Typical questions of existentialism, all wrapped up in a funky indie rock song.

General CommentIt sounds like "that never even ever really even ends in the end" instead of what you have written

General CommentMaybe it's just me, but to me, it sound like the song is saying (on the first time this verse is played) ". . . .that never even ever realy ends, In the end if it inspires our creation, we are on the tip of its tongs and it is saying, well. . . ." Just my two cents.. And if you would kindly forgive any ill spelling or poor grammar that would be apreciated.
