"I'm Looking For Someone To Love" as written by and Norman Petty Buddy Holly....
Stayin' at home, waitin' for you
Just won't get it 'cause you say we're through an'

I'm lookin' for someone to love
I'm lookin' for someone to love
Well if you're not here
My baby I don't care
Because I'm lookin' for someone to love

Playin' the field all day long
Since I found out that I was wronged now

I'm lookin' for someone to love
I'm lookin' for someone to love
Well if you're not here
My baby I don't care
Because I'm lookin' for someone to love

Drunk man, street car
Foot slipped there you are now

I'm lookin' for someone to love
I'm lookin' for someone to love
Well if you're not here
My baby I don't care
Because I'm lookin' for someone to love

Caught myself, thinkin' of you
You can't love me and an other one too

Well I'm lookin' for someone to love
I'm lookin' for someone to love
Well if you're not here
My baby I don't care
Because I'm lookin' for someone to love

General CommentA song about a girl who dumps him for another guy, and as he sits at home wondering if she will ever get back with him, she is killed in a car crash.

An intelligent song from one of Rock'n'Roll's founders.

General CommentI wonder if people really listened to the lyrics, though I know they're really simplistic. It's just so upbeat, they might not've paid attention to the last two lines.

General CommentI always wondered about that last line, it just seemed so out of place in a Buddy Holly song.
