Joe:

Lucille
Has messed my mind up
But I still love her
Oh I still love her

Lucille
Has messed my mind up
But I still need her
you know I need her

Whatcha tryna doota me
Lucille?
Whatcha tryna doota me
Lucille?
Whatcha tryna doota me
Lucille?
You got me goin' outa my mind

Lucille
Has tore my heart up
But I still love her
I really love her

Lucille
Has tore my heart up
But I still need her
You know I need her

She treats me like my hard
Is made of stone
She runs around
And leaves me home
All alone

She doesn't answer
When I call her on the phone
She messed up my mind
I'm cryin' alla the time

Lucille
Has messed my mind up
But I still love her
I really love her

Lucille
Has tore my heart up
But I still need her
I really need her

Lucille
My mind up
I love her
I really love her

Lucille
My heart up
But I still love her
I really love her

Lucille
My mind up
I love her
I really love her

Lucille
My heart up
I really need her
I really really need her

Lucille
My mind up
I really love her
I really really love her

Lucille
My heart up
I really love her
I really love her

Lucille
My mind up
But I still love her
I really really love her

Lucille
My mind up
I really need her
I really really need her

Lucille
Has tore my heart up
I really love her
I really really love her

Lucille
My mind up
I really love her
I really love her

General CommentActually, Lucille was never Joe's girlfriend. He only slept with her because his girlfriend, Mary, left him to become a Crew Slut. He sleeps with Lucille to get revenge, but ends up hurting himself further by contracting an unpronounceable disease. He then becomes really dependent on her for some reason, but she doesn't care about him. You really shouldn't judge the lyrics of any piece from Joe's Garage by themself, what with it being a conceptual work. All the songs tie in together.

General CommentHis girl friend messed him up.. but he loves her so much and he can't figure out what she's trying to do to him. She's all over the place and Frank is so sad.. awww poor boy.

General CommentThe song predates Joe's Garage - a more 1950s-sounding version (with a shuffle beat) was recorded by Jeff Simmonds in 1970, and performed very occasionally by Frank & Co in 1971 and 1975
