Do you compute?
do you or don't you?
i'm saying you do
don't need it proven
don't wanna listen
don't need a tour of the pieces i'm missing
as if you were put here to straighten us out
and everything you said was being written down
you weren't and it isn't and nobody's listening,
and nobody gives a fuck what you go do with your life

    General Commentno they dont.
why does everyone feel the need to classify any kind of obscure hardcore band to atdi?

General CommentThe lyrics are kinda secondary on this one, they're obviously taking shots at conformity. However, what sells it is the fact that this song is a defining example of dynamic, mathy hardcore. While other bands played over, and continue to play over, the same poppy archetype of what punk rock can be; Jehu jumped 10 years ahead of their time and made songs like this challenging and compelling gem.

General CommentIt's a great "fuck you" to anybody who has ever told you their opinions that you couldn't give a shit about. I've applied to many a person many a time.

I bought Yank Crime right before we were on our way to see The Mars Volta. It was like DLJ opened for em, but too bad they're not togther. They definitely definitely were ahead of their time, and it is a god damn shame they're not making music together anymore.

They remind me a lot of At The Drive-In circa Acrobatic Tenement, do they not?

    General CommentAgreed with thegreatcreator
Don't get me wrong. I love ATDI... but Drive Like Jehu didn't even partially remind me of them.
Hell, I didn't even realize DLJs songs were all that complex til someone pointed it out. If it's consider Math rock, it's definitely a band that's more interested in making a song than being mathrock.
