Uh huh, make me tonight
Tonight, make me right
Uh huh, make me tonight
Tonight
Tonight

Oh, uh-huh, make it magnificent
Tonight
Right

Oh, your hair is beautiful
Oh, tonight
Atomic

Uh huh, make me tonight
Tonight, tonight

Oh, your hair is beautiful
Oh, tonight
Atomic

Tonight, make it magnificent
Tonight
Make me tonight

Your hair is beautiful
Oh, tonight

Atomic
Oh, atomic
Oh

Oh, atomic
Oh, atomic
Oh

Well - you guys are all completely wrong! And i'm sure Deborah Harry would clear this up. It has nothing to do with sex you idiots. Atomic - in the 1970's, when i was listening to this album 1979 exactly, there was a general fear of nuclear war with Russia. Atomic - and a constance reference to 'Your Hair Is Beautiful" - and then saying "Atomic" - Is simply poetic - Radiation, will eliminate your 'beautiful hair" - She repeats over and over "beautiful hair" and Atomic -- it's pretty clear. If you watch the video blondie made for this song - it's a post nuclear holocaust scene - there's a clip of a nuclear bomb going off, there's a night club with Blondie appear and the writing underneath is all in Russian. - It's kinda like a Mad Max scenario - get it? There's even Radiation warning signs in the club in the video. Geez - blowjobs! You idiots!

The most amazing Blondie song ever. Sleeper did a wonderful cover. This is definitely a one night stand song.

Its obviously just open to interpretation - ambiguous lyrics that mean what you want - but it is sung with a sad tone - so I would go for the nuclear holacost - one night left to be alive - better be a special last night etc....

Brilliant brilliant song. Most definately a good song for a night of passion, I can confirm this no problem.

Very simple lyrics - but very pretty - I don't think its about a one night stand like in Trainspotting - but just about hopeing for just one beautifull night amongst shit - an atomic bomb being the extreme.

All bollocks - a night of passion perhaps... But with an underlying desperation!!!!! Atomic!!!! - NOT AN Orgasm!!!!!! - Something else is going on in the song - listen to the tone at the end - "Atomic - Oh Whoh",etc.. very sad - Its a song about trying to make one desperate night beautifull in a time of desperation or horror. "Your hair is beautifull" A simple pretty thing to say - A beautifull indie song that somehow made it big and now open to dumb interpretation.

I always thought it was about her getting ready to go out. The verses she sings to her hairstylists and everyone else helping make her pretty, and then she sings the chorus to herself.

Heh, I dunno, makes sense to me =X

Judging by the video, I think it's about trying to have a good time during a crisis.....if having a good time is dancing like a robot wearing a garbage bag :/

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Cajun Girl
Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/
