"Wake Up" as written by Trevor David Steel, John David Holliday, Anika Bostelaar, Jodie Mary Albert, Michelle Clare Barber, Lynsey Sarah Martin and Nicola Jayne Stuart....
Out of a station through my radio
Nothings on it
Like a joke that's told with out its final line
Where's it going
Where had it belonged

I know
I'm trying
I'm trying to wake up
Wake up

And I tell by you way too far
Looking back I had a casing sentimental suns and shade
Won't they ever spin around
Forward
They're trying
They're trying
And so they do

In the call of a new world
As I climb to the next floor
Haven't we
Met before
Under brighter skies above
Above

And in a way its fine
We're walking through wind
Unfamiliar scenes
We're choking to live
And we're shaking hands with someone we don't know now

Wake up
Wake up

General Commenti think this song is insane,
in an awesome way, the walkmen are sick

    definetly one of their best.

its a hard song to find though, you can download it off thei website: marcata.net/walkmen/

General CommentThis song is awesome. It's basically a 'wake up' call to those who walk around wearing rose colored glasses.

General CommentLove that whack drum beat. Love Hamilton's eeire delivery of lyrics. Love that guitaring on the chorus. It seems like its about being robbed a perfect life but realising no one was inclined to have one anyway.

General CommentWow, these lyrics are wrong. I'll fix them.
    Great song, even better live.
I think it's about living in a horribly dystopic world and snapping out of a trance, realizing that things weren't always so bland and we didn't have to "choke to live" before.
