"Youth" as written by and John Feldmann....
In my life, been all the places
That I dreamed of since I was a kid
Bury the past, I'm getting on with
Things I never thought I'd get through

So now I know

I don't know anything
Except I notice that
You're still here
I don't want anything
Well that's a lie because
I want you here with me

I made mistakes, I've done some things
That I just wish I could go back and change
But now I'm here, and now I know that I
Can learn from those things that I've done

So now I know

I don't know anything
Except I notice that
You're still here
I don't want anything
Well that's a lie because
I want you here with me

Don't want it back
I like who I've become
I'm right on track
I'm feeling half as young
As I did when I was a kid

In my life, been all the places
That I dreamed of since I was a kid

I don't know anything
Except I notice that
You're still here
I don't want anything
Well that's a lie because
I want you here with me

So now I know

General CommentHonestly, I didn't like this song (and the rest of "Open Your Eyes", for that matter), but it grew on me. Now it's one of my favorite Goldfinger songs.

General Commentthis song is beautiful. its one of my favorite goldfinger songs.

to me, i think its about growing up and realising mistakes and stuff you've done in the past. but learning to accept them, and growing up and moving on. and also realising that all the things you've done make you who you are today.

i think its also a song that identifies with alot of teengagers. well, it did for me. and i always found it quite a comforting song. :)

Song MeaningThis one's really speaking to me a lot right now... just sort of a realization of all the shit you did in the past and how even though you didn't recognize it then, things were a lot better back then.

For me, it kinda talks to me about the one that got away...
