"Jealousy" as written by Neil Tennant and Christopher Lowe....
At dead of night when strangers roam
The streets in search of anyone who´ll take them home
I lie alone, the clock strikes three
And anyone who wanted to could contact me
At dead of night ´til break of day
Endless thoughts and questions keep me awake
It´s much too late

Where´ve you been?
Who´ve you seen?
You didn´t phone when you said you would
Do you lie?
Do you try
To keep in touch? You know you could
I´ve tried to see your point of view
But could not hear or see
For jealousy

I never knew time pass so slow
I wish I´d never met you or that I could bear to let you go
At dead of night ´til break of day
Endless thoughts and questions keep me awake
It´s much too late

Where´ve you been?
Who´ve you seen?
You didn´t phone when you said you would
Do you lie?
Do you try
To keep in touch? You know you could
I´ve tried to see your point of view
But could not hear or see

Where´ve you been?
Who´ve you seen?
You didn´t phone when you said you would
Do you lie?
Do you try
To keep in touch? You know you could
I´ve tried to see your point of view
But could not hear or see
For jealousy

Where´ve you been?
Who´ve you seen?
You didn´t phone when you said you would
Do you lie?
Do you try
To keep in touch? You know you could
I´ve tried to see your point of view
But could not hear or see
For jealousy

Where´ve you been?
Who´ve you seen?
You didn´t phone when you said you would
Do you lie?
Do you try
To keep in touch? You know you could
I´ve tried to see your point of view
But could not hear or see
For jealousy
I never knew ´til I met you

General CommentI feel this song is about a self tormented lover whose jealousy & insecurity might or might not be justified . The singer sounds like a person with a very suspicious mind .Or maybe the emotions he feels are sorta exaggerated. nonetheles this is psbs one of the most intense songs . The lyrics are wonderful & very aptly discribes how it feels to be in tat position

General CommentThis is by far, the saddest song written by the PSB. Its about the aftermath of a breakup and the feelings of sadness and loneliness that follow. In a nutshell, about missing a former lover. The jealousy part is when the protagonist thinks of the other people their ex-lover is now sleeping with and wishing they could still be together. I really think the verse "I wish I never met you or that I could bear to let you go" says it all.

General Commentnah, it's not about a couple that broke up. It's about a guy whose girlfriend is far away, and he feels insecure. Or maybe she's not far away, he just haven't heard from her for a few days.

As you can see, i feel identified.
