When I was very young
Nothing really mattered to me
But making myself happy
I was the only one

Now that I am grown
Everything's changed
I'll never be the same
Because of you

Nothing really matters
Love is all we need
Everything I give you
All comes back to me

Looking at my life
It's very clear to me
I lived so selfishly
I was the only one

I realize
That nobody wins
Something is ending
And something begins

Nothing really matters
Love is all we need
Everything I give you
All comes back to me

Nothing really matters
Love is all we need
Everything I give you
All comes back to me

Nothing takes the past away
Like the future
Nothing makes the darkness go
Like the light

You're shelter from the storm
Give me comfort in your arms

Nothing really matters
Love is all we need
Everything I give you (Everything I give you)
All comes back to me

Nothing really matters
Love is all we need
Everything I give you
All comes back to me

Nothing really matters
Love is all we need

This is a very true song... Nothing really matters, but the love, we gave to each other. And this not only in relational life. It all comes back to us, so be respectful to everyone you met. This is what this song means to me, even this is not the real message of this song. ;)

She's hatsumomo from Memoirs of a geisha, and she's realizing that all of that bad karma she's been sending out is coming back to her. She realizes that she needs to move on because it doesn't matter that she's not the 'only one' anymore. What she really needs in life is love, and that she shouldn't waste her time on screwing with people's lives anymore for her own sake because she's still not happy.

I think it is all about being a mother, when she was young, no one else was important, but Now she has a daughter. with who all the love she gives her, comes back, and she knows that now she isn't really important at all compared to her daughter

Can't believe no one has commented on this song :O ! Anyway I think Madonna here is letting go of her "material girl" like needs, she realises that nothing in the world matters because its not eternal, the only thing that is eternal is love.

i really love this song. it juss sounds beautiful, of course it's madonna. but ne ways it is a possibility that this may be about her child. basically shes changed her old ways and now that shes grown up and now a mom. well its juss a possibility or it could be about a person. but most of the lines point more to that direction it seems. maybe.

all about the beginning of something and that she's not looking back anymore. I liked the catchy beat in the chorus.

Agree with the rest of the bloggers because What Madonna Really is Crying About in Nothing Really Matters is Love Itself. For Madonna, Love is the only aspect that matters In Our American Lives because Lady Madonna is Profusely Crying in this beautiful song. Her Tears Are Falling because her four artful students by the names of Lola, Rocco, David and Mercy have all impacted and changed her life. Being a mother is so important to Miss Ciccone-She never had a mother to love. Madonna is Very Happy but she is Extremely Sad because she can't quite really explain it-it's just there for her. That is why Madonna is Love. Between Smiles and Tears, Madonna is Reveling in the grace and beauty of her Ray of Light in her American Life. Madonna is Love!

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.
