"Penguins In The Desert" as written by Dino Campanella, Gavin Hayes, Mark Engles and Drew Roulette....
So you say,
so you say it right.
So you say,
so you say it right.

Waiting Below the sun,
getting brighter.(?)
Downstairs I dwell.

So you say,
so you say it right.
So you say,
So you say.

Ceiling slowly squeezing me tighter,
I'll lay down, but won't run
Hoping now, that this can get brigter,
and that time will come.

So you say,
so you say it right.
So you say,
So you say.

the river is damned,
I can't recorrect my path.
Through this obstructed venture,
it isn't flowing yet.
Caught in his stare,
electricity travels, through my wires where,
they're reaching for it's core, electricity.

Feeling sorry for yourself again

General Comment"we live like penguins in the desert, why can't we live like tribes" it says on the dredg cd case. obviously this has reference to this song. could it be the feeling that we should be living more as a society rather than people struggling for their own? certainly could... it paints a beautiful picture, but as for its meaning, i havent thought much yet.

General CommentThe lyric "We live like penguins in the desert, why can't we live like tribes" is actually a lyric from the song Triangle.

General CommentI think its about being traped in a never ending suffering. as if you were a penguin in the desert. never seeing the end but always trying to get free. somtimes i feel like this. dont we all?

General CommentThis song, to me, is a person seeking lifes goals on their own. And they have screwed up and feel like "I cant recorrect my path" maby....... att he end they are trying to find some kind of higher being "Caught in His stare, electricity travels, through my wires where, they're reaching for it's core, eectricity." I think this song proves how much we need Christ in our lives.

General CommentDredge has a very poetic sounding tune.. they can maximize the music without getting out of control.. and that to me is more important than anything else about a band...

General Commentyes aje742, they would die. that's kind of the point. Our cultural path away from the tribal societies we came from will lead to our extinction. This is a good example of Daniel Quinn's theories. You should read Ishmael.

General CommentI love this song. the way it fades in and out of the two songs its between is awesome. And the guitar riff is one of the most kickass I have ever heard.
