"Lost Myself" as written by Crispin Macmichael Sandys Hunt, Diarmuid Isaac Boyle, Simon Edward Stafford and Richard Willis Hawley....
She sold herself on the one love
The one that most of us live without
And dressed for the occasion day after day
Forgives herself when it don't come

I have always found it
Easier to dream about it
Careful of the stitches
Insisted there was more than this

But I lost myself I cannot speak
To live by myself I'm far too weak
I have lost myself I cannot sleep
To live by myself I'm far too meek

Went bold as hell for the one love
The one that most of us read about
And caressed all the persuaders day after day
Relieves herself when it don't come

By the things your saying
It's easier to turn the blame in
Careful of the stitches
Insisted there was more than this

But I lost myself I cannot speak
To live by myself I'm far too weak
I have lost myself I cannot sleep
To live by myself I'm far too meek

She's sold again on the one love
The one that all of them scream about
She's broke her wings on the one love
Her heart so warm but it's burn she wants

I have always found it
Easier to skirt around it
Careful of the stitches
Insisted there was more than this

But I lost myself I cannot speak
To live by myself I'm far too weak
I have lost myself I cannot sleep
To live by myself I'm far too meek

General CommentNotice how part of the song is talking about her ("she") and the other part is talking about himself ("i").

General Commenti listen to this song mostly in the car, when it's dark. i don't know why.. to me, it is beautifully emotional. i wouldn't say sad, as such. the music makes it really. stunning. dunno who the singer is but he's fucking brilliant too.

General CommentThis is one of those little brilliant, lost songs like Junkster "The Only One" that few will actually ever hear. I pity the fools.

General CommentThe girl wants to find true love. It's become everything to her. But he's the opposite. He thinks about love, but he avoids it because he's sure he'll end up getting hurt. Yet, at the same time, he wants to put himself out there because he knows it might be worth it and that she might be the one too. And now the more he thinks about love, the more he finds himself wanting it. But he isn't able to put himself out there for her yet.

    Or...

He sees this girl who's always looking for love, and in a way, he wants what she wants as well, but he constantly sees her being hurt by love and because of this, he ignores his desire for love because he sees himself going down the same route if he let's himself fall for someone. And he's in a constant war with himself. Even though he sees love ending in pain, he's at the point where he's tired of being alone, and wants to go for it anyway because it might be worth it. But doing so would be against everything he's ever believed, so in a way he's lost himself.
