"Lysergik Funeral Procession" as written by and Philip Hansen/brown Anselmo....
Pray to someone
I'm going out of my head
Dislocate
Stay safe in your unmade bed

Lysergik funeral procession

The world is watched
Straight from your TV sets
Makes you ill
Turn off and drop out in spurts

Lysergik funeral procession

I get up, get ready to face this world
I come down
I come down so hard, I hit then bounce
In a pool of piss I lay

Once revived, I was better off like I was
In so many pieces
And I'm so damn mad, so fucking mad
To lose that special darkness
I've got nothing to lose

General Commentits about an acid trip gone bad(the full name of LSD is lysergic acid diethylamide), and how when ur tripping out you have to remember that its just a trip and it will end, you arent going mad.

General CommentDown kicks ass. This song really pushes the envelope on how good i thought down could be.Absolutly storming riff, and classic bass playing. The song is obviously about drugs, most of Down 2 is,because of Phils brush with death after a show with Pantera.

General CommentIt's about an OD. Phil has overdosed on heroin multiple times.

General CommentThese lyrics are wrong. It's "turn OFF and drop out as one", turn ON makes a massive amount of no sense at all. Did i mention that this song kicks ass? I was dragged to a shitty nightclub last night and i could get the way Phil sings "I hit the BOWence" outa my head. What a singer.

General CommentI agree, it's about the overdose and about the situations he went in because of this...He says he gets up, ready to face the world but soon realizes he lays in disgust, in a pool of piss. He's mad to lose that special darkness but in the end, he ain't got nothing to lose.
I find these lyrics brilliant (as all the other down songs)

General CommentI dont think this song is about drugs. I think this song is not being arsed with society. The whole song is pointing towards dropping out of modern life, dont follow the tv, dont give a shit. He sings that every day he wakes up and feels down because he just wants to be trapped in himself but he know he cant so he has nothing to lose.
