Can't buy me love, love
Can't buy me love

I'll buy you a diamond ring my friend
If it makes you feel all right
I'll get you anything my friend
If it makes you feel all right
Cause I don't care too much for money
For money can't buy me love

I'll give you all I've got to give
If you say you love me too
I may not have a lot to give
But what I've got I'll give to you
I don't care too much for money
For money can't buy me love

Can't buy me love
Everybody tells me so
Can't buy me love
No, no, no, no

Say you don't need no diamond ring
And I'll be satisfied
Tell me that you want those kind of things
That money just can't buy
I don't care too much for money
For money can't buy me love

Can't buy me love
Everybody tells me so
Can't buy me love
No, no, no, no

Say you don't need no diamond ring
And I'll be satisfied
Tell me that you want those kind of things
That money just can't buy
I don't care too much for money
Cause money can't buy me love
Oh, can't buy me love, love
Can't buy me love, no

General Comment:it's definitely just about the value of love, no sex or prostitutes involved. the song is saying "if you want material stuff that's fine, but that's not what i want to give you. i don't care about materials because that's not what love is about." i hadn't heard this song in a while, but i heard this newer version that paul mccartney worked on with this jazz singer named michael buble. i love it, but with the jazz feel, it doesn't a great deal like the original except the general tempo. it's a great listen.

General Comment:I don't think he's talking about being a whore at all, more innocent than that. He's just saying that he doesn't value riches, he'd take love any day.

General Comment:Wrion is right, Paul commented on that to the press and said it was just about the truth of love, true love.

General Comment:yeah, the Beatles aren't really into hidden meanings that much. It's just a simple song about the value of love

General Comment:sorry to continue on a saturated subject, but i would like to add that paul actually said that interpreting the song as being about prostitutes was 'over the line'
