All or nothing at all
Half a love never appealed to me
If your heart, never could yield to me
Then I'd rather, rather have nothin' at all

All, or nothing at all
If it's love, there ain't no in-between
Why begin, then cry for somethin' that might have been?
No, I'd rather, rather have nothing at all

Oh, please don't bring your lips close to my cheek
Don't you smile or I'll be lost beyond recall
The kiss in your eyes, the touch of your hand makes me weak
And my heart, may grow very dizzy and fall

And if I fell under the spell of your call
I would be caught in the undertow
And so you see, I've got to say no, no
All or nothing at all

All or nothing at all

    My Interpretation

Frank is saying, "don't lead me on, or offer me a casual relationship. I want true love. Nothing less, unless that something is nothing." Or in the words of Rob Thomas "give me your heart, make it real or let's forget about it."

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
