This movie would've killed us
It would've made a mess
I'd have lit the fires but I'd have pulled you out
Take a shot from every angle
I'd have shot you down
I'd have made you look fucking beutiful

Don't think cos you can't see me that I'm not watching
He got leather
He got car
Well me got channels on CCTV

This movie would've killed us
We'd have cut a deal
I'd have set the traps but I'd have pulled you out
Lend a hand make all the right moves
I'd have helped you out
I'd have made it perfect just for you

This movie would've killed us
We'd would've made a hit
But now it's turned to shit and it's because of you
But, hey, you didn't want to make it
Instead you made it with him
Guess I don't make the final cut

Yeah this movie's gonna kill me
But it'll kill you first
we could've made it out but, oh, it's just too late now
I'd have made us a killer movie

General CommentI agree. I think the movies hes talking about refers to their relationship, which would have killed them because shes unfaithful. The 'he got leather' etc bit refers to the other guy.
It sounds like hes still really in love with her though because although he 'set the traps' hed 'have pulled her out', he'd forgive her.
    Good song =]

General CommentI agree with both of you. It also sounds pretty much like he's a very obsessive person, watching every step of her and invading her privacy. Of course she's doing shit, but he isn't acting right either. Like the kind of people that would go a tad further than just sneakily checking their partner's textmessages while they're on the loo, but also maybe placing keyloggers or whatever hacker material onto their computers to spy on them if they cheat or not. This is basically what he's doing here with CCTV etc. When one gets cheated on like he does here, it's always hard to draw a line which actions are right or wrong. But in this case he wouldn't have found out for quite a while if he wasn't "stalking" on her, so he'd have had this behaviour of checking on her anyway. smells of trust-issues.
So very smart written. One of my favourite lyrics by them.
