I know you love me, darling
And I love you
Every time I touch your face
Every time I choose
I love the feeling
Of loving you
I`m tired of touching you
I want to cut on through
I love you darling
Everything you do
I want to be there
When you feel them cutting through
I feel you
I need you
I want you, now
I know you love me
I hear you call
You know i`ll be there
Hereafter, after
All I every see you
Do inside your bed
Don`t you think you could
Replay them once inside my head
I remember caesar
He remembers you
Knows all the things you tell me
Everything you do
I feel you
I need you
I want you, now
Why don`t you call me
You never read my note
You got a dog inside your body
Its got you by the throat
I really love you
Wanna feel your pain
Wanna drag you cross the ground
And out inside the rain
Gotta feel you darling
Gotta have you near
Gotta be there when they cut you
Gotta feel your fear
I love you in the morning
I need you in the fall
I want to see them cut you
Feel them feel you when you growl
Why don`t you call me
You never read my note
You got a dog inside your body
Its got you by the throat

Trying to interpret the meaning of a Butthole Surfers song is like trying to understand an episode of Lost.... Impossible! Give up and just enjoy the rantings of a partially mentally disturbed genious.

seems like its about a very sick person obviously, like a stalker, whos obsessed with a pregnant lady maybe. he wants to be there when the babys born. and he seems to think shes pregnant with a dog. idk, thats the best interpretation i can think of.

My favorite Butthole Surfers song. I think the "dog" refers to that which people try to keep repressed. Like the rawness and animalistic urges of the soul. The singer has already accepted this part of himself and wants to bring it out of his lover, but she is too shy/nervous to release the "dog" inside her body.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
