Billy rapped all night about his suicide
How he'd kick it in the head when he was twenty-five
Don't wanna stay alive when you're twenty-five
Wendy's stealing clothes from unlocked cars
Freddy's got spots from ripping off stars from his face
Funky little boat race
The television man is crazy
Saying we're juvenile delinquent wrecks
Man, I need a TV when I've got T. Rex
Hey brother, you guessed, I'm a dude
All the young dudes
Carry the news
Boogaloo dudes
Carry the news
All the young dudes
Carry the news
Boogaloo dudes
Carry the news
Now Jimmy looking sweet though he dresses like a queen
He can kick like a mule
It's a real mean team
We can love
We can love
And my brother's back at home
With his Beatles and his Stones
We never got if off on that revolution stuff
What a drag
Too many snags
Well I drunk a lot of wine
And I'm feeling fine
Gonna race some cat to bed
Is this concrete all around
Or is it in my head
Oh brother, you guessed, I'm a dude
All the young dudes
Carry the news
Boogaloo dudes
Carry the news
All the young dudes
Carry the news
Boogaloo dudes
Carry the news
All the young dudes
Carry the news
Boogaloo dudes
Carry the news
All the young dudes
Carry the news
Boogaloo dudes
Carry the news
All the young dudes
Carry the news
Boogaloo dudes
Carry the news
All the young dudes

What does "man, I need a TV when I've got T. Rex" mean?
T-Rex was a late 60's band of this genre - very difficult to say if this was a sort of ironic "in your face" moment or if it was truly a tribute to the "Bang a Gong" band of that era...
T-Rex was the epitome of glam in the UK. The lyric has two meanings. First is that I need a television when T-Rex is on a show like Top of the Pops so I can watch them. The second is that when I go out and club to T-Rex music I need to cross dress like a girl or get with a guy cross dressing, a Transvestite, a TV, to really get with the scene. I need to Glam it up.
@whiterabies I always read the whole bit about the TV man with it, like I need TV when I've got T-Rex, as in, a dinosaur, someone whose way of thinking is outdated.
