Hey I am sure to fall this time around, yeah
and I could look you in the eye, but you never show your face
Something sticky in your ears, will turn to logic
and what you reiterate is meaningless to me

Save yourself because your dying slowly
Say goodnight before you ever say goodbye

Tore the buttons off your coat to keep the wind out
Build your head against the sky, to touch the ground beneath
Held a candle to the sun to drown the twilight
but when you bruise you never bleed, no you never cry out

Save yourself because your dying slowly
Say goodnight before you ever say goodbye

Strong, carry on, carry me home
Serve your flesh, circuits unknown
Stitches sewn to leave me alone
Crane your neck 'til I crawl

Save yourself because your dying slowly
Say goodnight before you ever say goodbye

Does it make you sick?
The smell of daddy's sweat
The taste of daddy's spit

Crawl
Crawl
Crawl
Crawl

Crawl
- Crawl
Crawl
- Crawl
Crawl
- Crawl
Crawl
- Crawl
Crawl
- Crawl
Crawl, Crawl
- Crawl, Crawl

General Commentthis is one of the best songs on white knuckled substance and it has a rad little bass line. Vendetta red is one of the best bands around.

General CommentI love Vendetta Red! They put on an amazing show. This song is really good live, the screaming at the end is awesome. VR is like no other band out there, everyone needs to check them out. The guys in the band are so nice too, after they perform they just chill by the merch booth to talk with fans.

General Commentwell if you look at some of the lyrics, there are parts where he's saying stuff that someone else did that would obviously not do what was intended. For instance:

"Tore the buttons off your coat to keep the wind out"
"And what you reiterate is meaningless to me"
"Held a candle to the sun to drown the twilight"

I dunno, just something I notcied. Maybe it means someone is getting abused and is basically just asking for it 'cuz he/she is doing things that dont help at all, or make things worse.

General Commentand the chorus (i guess you could call it that)

"Save yourself because your dying slowly
say goodnight before you ever say goodbye"

he's telling the person to save yourself, and not to give up. dont die before you have a chance to survive. hence "say goodnight before you ever say goodbye". he doesnt want the person to say "goodbye" and leave forever. he wants him to get away.

General CommentThe singer Zack as a child was abused so i think this song could be about him

General Commenti think it's about someone who's being sexually abused by their father. Like Frankay615 said, VR is saying to not give up, to escape the wrath of their father. "Does it make you sick? The smell of daddy's sweat. the taste of daddy's spit?" saying that they are raped by their father. That's what I get from the song anyway
