Oh yeah, alright

I don't care about the way that ya treated me
And I ain't crying 'bout the love I'm paying for
No, I ain't bitching 'bout the things
You been putting down here in my street
Oh, I ain't going 'round saying things about you
Lord, I can't repeat
Hey, it ain't gonna change overnight
No, and it ain't going away without a fight
No, now I ain't saying that I'm never gonna beg you, oh baby come back
But right now baby I don't really want to see your face
Yeah and that's a fact
Oh, right now, honey all I know is what I'm feeling inside
Right now, baby I'm alone and I'm swallowing
Lord, a lot of pride
And it ain't gonna change overnight, no
And it ain't goin' away without a fight

Yeah, living with the aftershock
I said my, my, my well I never thought she'd walk
But now I'm living with the aftershock
And it ain't gonna change
It ain't goin' away, no

Yeah, she opened up my eyes
Seeing what I want to see
She kinda took me by surprise
Showed me what I hadn't seen
Yeah, yeah
Living with the aftershock
Yeah, yeah, alright
Watch it, watch it
Yeah, yeah
Living with the aftershock
I said my, my, my, I guess that I never thought she'd walk
Living with it from the aftershock
And it ain't gonna change
It ain't goin' away
I said it ain't gonna change without a fight, no
I'm living with the aftershock
I'm living with the aftershock
Ow
Alright
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Never gonna change

It's about dealing with things after a really good relationship. He probly loved this person alot and after she left he has to deal with it, which would be what he calls "the Aftershock".

    My Interpretation

Pretty sure that Sammy wrote this song after the divorce (or at least while he was going through the divorce process) from his first wife. Dealing with the "Aftershock" of all of that.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

American Town
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran shares a short story of reconnecting with an old flame on “American Town.” The track is about a holiday Ed Sheeran spends with his countrywoman who resides in America. The two are back together after a long period apart, and get around to enjoying a bunch of fun activities while rekindling the flames of their romance.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
