"Do You Believe?" as written by Peter Anders Svensson and Nina Persson....
Do you really think
That love is gonna save the world?
Well, I don't think so
(Do you believe?)
I just don't think so

And do you really think
That love is gonna save your soul?
Well, I sure hope so
(Do you believe?)
Oh, I really really hope so
But I don't think so

Do you really think
That love is gonna save the world?
Well, I don't think so
(Do you believe?)
I just don't think so

And do you really think
That love is gonna save your soul?
Well, I sure hope so
(Do you believe?)
Oh yes, I really really hope so
I don't think so

Do you believe?
Do you believe?
Do you believe, believe?

General CommentThis song sounds so good, but it's so dark. She just gets you to believe that sometimes love isn't enough, like Bryia says. I think of this song whenever I think of someone who's betrayed me. Usually people in your life betray you, leave you, then come back years later, and they seem to have turned over a new leaf, all happy and wonderful.. as if their new love and life has redeemed them for their past betrayals. That's what I think this song is about. By saying "save your soul," it implies that the persons soul needs to be saved in the first place, thus implying that the person hasn't been the most virtuous. She just asks if love is enough to redeem you for fucking someone over. So you turn over a new leaf. So what? She doesn't think love is gonna save you. Tough luck. :[

General CommentI think this song has subtle but strong references to Christianity- 'love is gonna save the world' & 'love is gonna save your soul'; i.e. Christians believe that Jesus loves everyone and that he came to save not only each of us individually, but that he came to save the world. I think that the protagonist in this song, without coming out and saying it directly, is saying that she doesn't believe what Christians believe.

General CommentThis song is good!! I think it's talking about someone hoping for love to come to them, and she's asking if they think if love is going to save the world, but she doesn't think so. Anyway, i recommend this-is it a band? It's more like pop music for their first album, but Grand Turismo is more like a blend between a lot of things-I just can't describe it!!

General CommentI love the darkness in this song. It's lovely to think that love will conquer all, but really, sometimes love just isn't enough.
