Yesterday was a million years ago
In all my past lives I played an asshole
Now I found you, it's almost too late
And this earth seems obliviating
We are trembling in our crutches
High and dead our skin is glass
I'm so empty here without you
I crack my xerox hands

I know it's the last day on earth
We'll be together while the planet dies
I know it's the last day on earth
We'll never say goodbye

And the dogs slaughter each other softly
Love burns its casualties
We are damaged provider modules
Spill the seeds at our children's feet
I'm so empty here without you
I know they want me dead

I know it's the last day on earth
We'll be together while the planet dies
I know it's the last day on earth
We'll never say goodbye

General CommentI think that every SINGLE Manson song has a very, very thoughtful backround. He's not the stupid goth who yells 'kill kill kill' into the mic (what most people think). His songs are brilliant, they have a background and a menaning you just have to let yourself in so that you notice.

My InterpretationI have always thought this song was about an internet romance due to the fact that in the intro you can hear the sound of a dial up connection. Along with the themes of the album itself I would draw that Manson is making a statement about how plastic and fake that love has become to a point that it is no longer real but digital. Just saying.

General CommentThis is one of the view "love songs" manson has actually written...and even then it's not really a love song. I think it symbolizes the collapse of everything and prehaps two people who were seperated yet their love for eachother still holds true...and that no matter what may happen they'll always stay together even in spirit. This could be the meaning...but i have no idea. I think it also talks about the collapse of the one of the "lovers"....and how now that he's finally found his love his world is falling into a decadent spiral to which is will soon die... Maybe i'm wrong...that's just my opinion

General Commentthis is a song that makes you think "if you knew the world was ending tomorrow, who would you want to spend today with?." If you die with someone you never have to say goodbye to them, never wonder when you'll see them again. Everything over in an instant.

General Comment"I'm so empty/here without you/I know they want me dead" I think its not such like the entire world is collapsing, just you. and I suppose you would want to spend it with someone you love

General CommentBeautiful song, like all Manson songs, this one has deep meaning and is very intelligent. I believe it's about the world collapsing and spending the last day with someone special who you didn't realize was so special to you until the day you died.
