And I cannot stop shaking because you cannot stop shaking
and these chords they are trembling because your words they are bleeding
And these holes in my hands are for you, just for you
She called out to her maker to now be her savior
My love, these holes in my hands are for you, just for you

carveyournamein - the lyrics are right there. he's not screaming anything different from what's on this page.

Anyone else think Jake's old style of vocals sounds better than the shrieking on Jane Doe? When he's screaming here, he sounds possessed.

This song has nothing to do with god you dumb ass's. He's saying I sacrificed so much for this girl and she left me for that spot a second best.

"She called out to her maker to now be her savior." to me this song is about loving someone so much that you cant be yourself around them and having it tear them apart. obviously the girl has hurt jacob somehow that he can't trust her but neither can he leave her, hes in love "my love these holes in my hands are for you. just for you. " almost like the holes are the wounds from their relationship that wont heal

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”
