"We Haven't Turned Around" as written by Thomas William Gray, Oliver James Peacock, Ian Thomas Ball, Paul Blackburn and Ben Ottewell....
We came, we came, we came again
To stem the tide and point the blame
Came back for more
Came back to see what you had in store
Everyone join the line, everyone
Yeah

So you want to spin the world around?
So you want to spin the world around?
And anybody else, cut 'em down
So you want to make catastrophe?
Won't you send it right over to me
I got some time
Everybody running high

The same, the same, the same again
To steal the time and haunt the graves
Just because it's there
Don't mean you see it anywhere
Maybe it's a trick of the light
Maybe, yeah

So you want to spin the world around?
So you want to spin the world around?
And anybody else, cut 'em down
So you want to make catastrophe?
Don't you send it right over to me
I got some time
Everybody come alive
Yeah

So you want to spin the world around?
So you want to spin the world around?
And anybody else, bring 'em down
So you want to make catastrophe?
Don't you send it right over to me
I got some time
Everybody running high

So you want to spin the world around?
So you want to spin the world around?
And anybody else, cut 'em down
So you say we haven't turned around?
So you say we haven't turned around?
Just everybody else is going wrong
Going wrong

General CommentThis song is one of the most calm and beautiful I've ever come across. Definitely one of my top favorite songs. I can't say enough about it. I recommend everyone listen to it at least once. You get taken away by the music...and his voice. Breath-taking! It's heaven...pure heaven.

General CommentIt is very peaceful and relaxing but he's trying to relay a message. Drug abuse.

General Commentthis is one of my most favourite songs...it is so beautiful. When liquid skin came out my best friend and i listened to this song everyday for atleast a year! The film clip is quite haunting and sad also.
But on another topic, I can't believe the lack of comments for gomez songs. Whats wrong with the people on this site! Gomez is a fantastic band!!

General Commentibelieve, I know! What's with that? But then, that's Gomez altogether - not that big in the US, popular initially in the UK but now largely ignored. They are pretty popular here (Australia) but still, nothing like the recognition they deserve. I think they are one of the best bands recording today.

General Commentyeah, there was a big fuss about them in like '98 over here (England) but they pretty much found their natural audience (which ain't huge), and everyone else abandoned them. this is probably my favourite Gomez song...mostly they're good for more uptempo, propulsive work but turned around shows they can do the balladry stuff as well as anyone.

General Commenti first heard it when i saw the clip. now i can't listen to it without thinking about the video for it.
it sounds like its a scathing view of someone trying to take the world on their shoulders...
