it would end much differently than you think
with my hands like guns and crashing sounds
because sometimes it feels like the song never ends
they'd then come after me
you'd rush to hold your ears
because sometimes it's more than you never
lets just say you keep quiet about this
you were right

General CommentErrr...this is a little irritating. You missed some really good lines in this song (and its an amazing song).

"Tattoo these words on your lips" Has to be one of the coolest lines in any song ever and i dont see it in here. Good effort though.

General CommentYes I agree. The best part is the indistinct breakdown.

"I cant recall the last time I said im sorry, and meant it. sitting there, screaming out i miss you. i miss you so"

This is one of my favorite songs of all time.

General CommentThis is an incredible band. I love the 'this is your fault, this is your fault!' at the end of the song.

General Commentactually, the line is "tatoo these words on your WRISTS" and he did. David got "rememberig" tatooed on one wrist and "®ret" on the other. the last lyrics of the song, i say:

"You were right about where you stood when i fell... holding on too. And there you were screaming out 'this is your fault! this is your fault!'. You were holding on to your ears as you threw yourself out the window as i convicnced you this was your fault."

General CommentI've spoken with Dave personally about this song, and others off of the handslikeguns album, he said that this song in particular was about an accident that they got into, and the realization of how close they were to death.

    General Commentcorrect lyrics:

It would end much differently than you think
with my hands like guns and crashing sounds
because sometimes it feels like the song never ends
tattoo, tattoo these words on your wrists

guilt ridden nightmares and promises made
    phonecalls and atrophy
break me so i cannot speak
    or call after you

and you'd rush to hold your ears
    (to the crashing sounds)
'cause sometimes it's more than you never

I can't recall the last time I said im sorry, and meant it.
sitting there, singing out "i miss you."
    "i miss you so."

You were right about where you stood when i fell...
    (holding on to)
And there you were screaming out
'this is your fault! this is your fault!'
You were holding on to your ears
as you threw yourself out the window
as i convinced you this is your fault.

General CommentI love to see that this band is on this site. They live here in my area and hate that they don't play this song anymore!

It's about a car accident the original members had some years back. Dave's lyrics are so very amazing.
