And the rockets red glare,
will be nothing compared to the light that will shine on the day.
Millions of souls will be stolen,
For all the right reasons and you'll hear all the old people say.

Look what I said would happen came true.
That's the difference between me and you.
To God I stayed true,
You let the world conquer you.
And you said that we... we are all the...

Seven years of hell, my friend I wish you well.
In a trial which you'll have to survive.

And in the end, it will happen again,
So this time I suggest that you don't run and hide.

Look up into, the pitch black sky,
I look down upon you with new eyes.

Don't hold back your choice, take a stand,
Speak your voice.

The world's but a thorn in your side.

Look what I said would happen came true.
That's the difference between me and you.
To God I stayed true, you let the world conquer you.
And you said that we... we are all the same.

General CommentAbout the end of the world.

"will be nothing compared to the light that will shine on the day."

The day Christians have been preparing for:

"Look what I said would happen came true."

General CommentThis song, to me, is about how the writer stayed true to god, and tried not to stray from his beliefs. But, the other person (that's the difference between me and you) didn't, and now it's the time for judgement. the other person is going to be condemned to hell for leaving god, and the lead singer is going to heaven or wherever.

General Commentcoldinhere had the right answer, it is about the rapture.
God will come someday and you better be prepared for it.
Alot of people will go to hell and they don't even notice it.
Look outside, do you seriously think that it just was there from the begining? All it takes is a little commitment and you can spend the rest of eternity in heaven with streets of gold, all you have to do is ask God to be in you heart and try not to stray from his teaching.
