"198d" as written by and Omar/bixler Rodriguez....
This is forgiven
If the uniform fits
Postponed
At the first showing
This is the tension mold
Of frozen icicles
And it feels like it's snowing
You speak in tongues
Tremors that warn us of ourselves

Born in hearts
Etched in cold
At the first showing
Walk away

Nothing bleeds the same
My travel expenses paid
Postponed
At the first showing
This dance is out of rhythm
We trip on excess steps
Postponed
At the first showing
You speak in tongues
Tremors that warn us of ourselves

Born in hearts
Etched in cold
Swing-sets pay
The playground toll

Tremors that hold us
Tremors that warn us
Nothing bleeds like

General Commentthis song is so full up with such emotion that it is near impossible to resist repeating it over and and over time and again. you must download this song or go buy the "Vaya" EP right now.

General CommentThis song is about one of the member's (I think it was Paul) mother's grave - Her gravestone was destroyed by vandals and the only way that her family could identify which grave was hers was by the graveyard marker "198D" - ATDI doesn't write BS lyrics =)

General Commentevery time i hear this song i get a chill down my spine because the song is so full of pure and raw emotion that i can't help it. i always thought this song had some connection to the year 1980.. anyways , this song makes me want to jump out of my skin and is on of my favorite ATDI songs. excellent.

General Commenttheis song is definetely one of their strongest and most emotional songs. yeh. paul did write the song for the above reason, but even though, cedrics and whoever in the band write the most spine-tingling lyrics ever . this song just gives the chills it is too good. they write songs like free-spirited and charged poetry. the way it just kicks in at 'nothing feels like'(tremors that hold us!!;.....what a lyric. peace to all the fans of this truly great (but no more) band.

General CommentWhen I first heard this song, it sounded like a reminder of our own mortality. I saw the entire Vaya EP as being about time, mortality, and death, as the title (in spanish) means "let me go" (or at least I think it means that, someone please correct me if I'm wrong), possibly referring to the grip of time, or approaching death. Maybe I just have a black veiw on life, but all the references to snow and cold, and the dance, life, being out of rhythm, and espeically the part about "tremors that warn us about ourselves" remind me of death, and time's steady onward march. This is probably the best song on Vaya, and I absolutely agree with prod, you must get this song, or even better, this whole album.

General CommentThis song is very overwhelming. It's hard to take in all at once. It's raw emotion bottled inside, exploding from within.
