"Back In The Saddle" as written by Stanley Lynch and Matraca Maria Berg....
I'm back
I'm back in the saddle again
I'm back
I'm back in the saddle again

Ridin' into town alone by the light of the moon
I'm lookin' for old Sukie Jones, she crazy horse saloon
Barkeep gimme a drink, that's when she caught my eye
She turned to give me a wink, that'd make a grown man cry

I'm back in the saddle again
I'm back
I'm back in the saddle again
I'm back

Come easy, go easy, all right until the rising sun
I'm calling all the shots tonight, I'm like a loaded gun
Peelin' off my boots and chaps, I'm saddle sore
Four bits gets you time in the racks, I scream for more
Fools' gold out of their mines, the girls are soaking wet
No tongue's drier than mine, I'll come when I get back

I'm back in the saddle again
I'm back
I'm back in the saddle again

I'm ridin', I'm loadin' up my pistol
I'm ridin', I really got a fistful
I'm ridin', I'm shinin' up my saddle
I'm ridin', this snake is gonna rattle

I'm back in the saddle again
I'm back
I'm back in the saddle again
I'm back

Ridin' high
Ridin' high
Ridin' high

General CommentCouldn't help but think it's about heroin or cocaine.
"She crazy horse saloon" - Horse = heroin.
"No tongue's drier than mine" - dry mouth as a side effect when the body "needs" it.

Perhaps it's about sex as well.

I don't know, maybe one or the other.

    Just going with my imagination.

General CommentWhen I read the lyrics to this song, I think of a cowboy coming back to town. He's the one that all the girls love and all the guys fear. He's thinkin' "Oh, yeah, I'm back, where are the girls?"

General CommentThis was my favorite post breakup song. I blasted this song out of my truck after I broke up with the dick I dated for 5 months who thought he was wiser than me just because he was older. This song is a sex addicts anthem..LoL Go get him tiger!

General CommentThere is no doubt this song is about more than just coming back to touring.

But, when Aerosmith comes out on stage to this you will remember it forever...by far the best song I have heard anyone come out to for starting a concert. (Especially with the huge pink sheets circa 1998)
