"Dandy Life" as written by and Ross Brian Childress....
Took a walk to a caution scene
Guess I crossed the line somehow
And if I lost some of your hope
I'm sorry for the folly was all mine
And I don't ever really understand
All the things we say

But I try to anyway anyhow
For what's in a day of a dandy life
For what's in a day of this dandy life
Everything everything everything

Hangin' on every word
My social butterfly
Everyone wants to be loved
Loved in their own way
I can say I spent the night
On the telephone inside
When you said that every single
One of us can find a happy face
So why don't you go try
Try anyway

And I suppose I was born yesterday
'Cause I never thought of things
Quite in that way at all and in that way
For what's in a day of a dandy life
For what's in a day of this dandy life
Everything, everything, everything

General CommentEveryone wants to be loved
    Loved in their own way

That to me, is what the song means because that's the most memorable part of the song, it stands out and it's so true!!!

General CommentI haven't read the lyrics to this song, but this song has given me the absolute feeling of bliss and repose over the last 5 years of my life. His voice is so unique and inquistive.

General CommentOh, Ross Childress...what a great song!!! It seems to me, it was kind of about himself and the band. It's like he's saying eveyone (as in him), wants to 'be loved in their own way,' by 'haning on every word.' While jumping between groups of people, he's hoping someone will say something nice about him and like him for who he really is.

General CommentAbout a guy who gets reality check from his girlfriend and is told that everyone can be happy, they just have to try to be positive and expect everything, everything, everything.

General CommentSo far, it's the only track I've noticed Ross Childress singing the lead vocals.

My OpinionWow, the first part of this song sounds nothing like their other stuff. I really like this song. It's one of their only songs that isn't always those same high harmonic vocals.

Song MeaningWhat do you think is meant by "everything"? There's a few definitions in the Webster's dictionary:

1a : all that exists b : all that relates to the subject
    2: all that is important
3: all sorts of other things –used to indicate related but unspecified events, facts, or conditions
