"Walking Away" as written by and Pasquale James/terwilliger Gasperini....
Well hello how are you won't you pull up a chair? Won't you tell me your story because I really do care about talking, talking, talking away.
Here's to me, to you, to us, to everything I hope it never falls apart. we're Talking, Talking, Talking away.

Well you look so fine and you seem so kind and I've got to say that I'm having a good time, dancing, dancing, dancing away.
Here's to me, to you, to us to everything I hope it never falls apart. We're Dancing, Dancing, Dancing away.

Could things get any better now? If they can I cannot see how. but as the time goes by, you stop and sigh, stop and sigh, and then you wonder why.

I can't stop this feeling as I'm walking away and I never could understand half the things you'd say as we're walking, walking, walking away.
So I said here's to me, to you, to us to everything because it fell apart as we're walking, walking, walking away.

Things weren't better then, you felt that you had to pretend, but as the time goes by you stop and sigh, you stop and sigh, and then you wonder why.

General Commentthis is a total feel-good song. the opening trumpet with the mute is very comforting. warm. humble. sincere. like a big hug from stranger who really does care. its like the trumpet almost says "cheer up." this was sort of me and my girlfriends song. but then she made some bad decisions, and we are in limbo now. its hard to listen to this song now. i think it is just saying that we were together, things were great. we broke up. and after the bridge, its not "goodbye to me to you to us" its just "here's to me to you to us". in other words, things were great then, but now their not, but i dont regret a second of our time together/it was great. but then it says "things werent better than, you felt that you had to pretend." maybe this is referring to how they broke up. or that he is still sour about the breakup. "then you stop and sign and then you wonder why" why did they break up maybe? or maybe he is saying that "as time goes by" he realized just how great the relationship was, and why did they break up?

General CommentCant believe no one commented on this song. Its something i want to do where ever i go. Go up to a person and make a connection with them. But as most things, it will end, but its the time you spent with them that counts.
Plus the bass intro is awesome. i play is all the time cuz its just fun to play.

General CommentAnother good song. I appreciate it as a bassist. The lyrics can be corny at times, but not to the Mr. Rogers point. (RIP Mr Rogers) Any way, Catch 22 is still god. NJ 4 Life baby!

General CommentNo one has commented on the meaning of this song. To me, it seems like a one-night stand that didn't really work out.
