"Israel's Song" as written by and Doug Martsch....
A boy becomes normal today
Finally breaks away
Into freshness and understanding
He pushed the world he knew
Will the world break him back
Will someone snap him in half
And build back the glass
Or is it just the boy now

General CommentYou're Probably all wrong. Doug is jewish. This song is about the State of Israel. It's so young it's like a boy. I was created with the best intentions but will the "world and it's actions" brake Israel down or "snap it in half"? To a lot of people, it's already broken. I think the lyrics are a little deeper than we inicially though.

General CommentAnother BTS jem. This song actually makes me really happy for the boy who finally breaks away into freshness and understanding. Listening to this song I just can't stop thinking, Right on man. You did it. I'd like to give him a good pat on the back. I agree, he kicks ass. We're talking about Jesus right?

General CommentThis song could be about Daniel Johns, frontman for the band Silverchair.
When his band Silverchair came out in 1995, he was only 15 ("a boy"). Their biggest song was called "Tomorrow" but the first song of their debut album that was somewhat popular was called "Israel's Son."
I don't think Daniel Johns "became normal" then, but since his band was very Nirvana-like and came out following the death of Kurt Cobain, he definitely could have "pushed the world he knew." Silverchair was Australian grunge.

General Commentgahh this song sounds exactly like modest mouse.. particularly the song off "this is a long drive" called "exit does not exist"

i swear if one didn't know any better they'd think this was modest mouse.. however mm's sound (on long drive atleast) was alot more skeletal if you catch my drift.. this song sounds so full..
