(Ah ah)
(Ah ah)

Do you still remember, how we used to be
Feeling together, believing whatever
My love has said to me
Both of us were dreamers
Young love in the sun
Felt like my saviour, my spirit I gave you
We'd only just begun
Hasta mañana, always be mine

Viva forever, I'll be waiting
Everlasting, like the sun
Live forever, for the moment
Ever searching for the one

Yes I still remember, every whispered word
The touch of your skin, giving life from within
Like a love song that I'd heard
Slippin' through our fingers, like the sands of time
Promises made, every memory saved
Has reflections in my mind
Hasta mañana, always be mine

Viva forever, I'll be waiting
Everlasting, like the sun
Live forever, for the moment
Ever searching for the one

Back where I belong now, was it just a dream
Feelings unfold, they will never be sold
And the secret's safe with me
Hasta mañana, always be mine

Viva forever (viva forever), I'll be waiting (I'll be waiting)
Everlasting (everlasting), like the sun (like the sun)
Live forever (live forever), for the moment (for the moment)
Ever searching (ever searching) for the one (for the one)
Viva forever (viva forever), I'll be waiting
Everlasting, like the sun
Live forever (live forever), for the moment
Ever searching for the one

General Comment2 years after my first comment.

i see all these comments and i still think about it's kidnapped kids:

    - 2 kids (in my opnion borther & sister) getting lost in the woods, led by the chicken toy = represents the bait.
    - girl getting inside the rubik's box = kidnapped mystery that was never solved.
    - the eggs box = all the kidnapping stories that was never solved...

General CommentI think it's kidnapping aswell. Like the other comment.

    Chicken: Bait

Rubiks cube: Like a holding cell their kidnapped and being held some where.

    Other cases: Unsolved kidnapped cases.

And then the lyrics "Ever searching for the one"

It basically means their friend/lover was kidnapped and even after all these years their still searching for them and trying to find them.

Song MeaningHi guys, this is my new account and the first ever comment. According to me, this song might also mean that the boy and girl(maybe brother and sister) are running through the field when they come across the egg. It opens and the bird comes out which leads them both to the forest where the girl finds the fairies(Spice Girls) and the boy runs away. Those fairies lead the girl to the cube where they put her inside. Noticed when the boy came back the fairies rushed the girl in the cube? Well, all the other eggs contain mysteries of broken love and broken relationships, just what happened to the boy and the girl. It means that according the lyrics and me the other partner is sill waiting and waiting for the other one to come regretting that he/she left him/her. Got it?, Viva forever, I"LL BE WAITING..... plus this song made me cry... :( sorry for the boring comment. Bye!

My InterpretationI think this song is about a young girl that travels to an exotic location (perhaps Spain given the Spanish guitars in the song). She falls in love (or lust) with a young man from this particular location in the sun and has a summer romance.

It's a song about the excitement of youth and how you think things like that are forever, but they aren't. Once she returns to 'where she belongs' life goes back to normal and all she has are the memories of the excitement and exhilaration she felt from the brief romance she enjoyed with this young man.

You don't ever forget those kinds of experiences in your life, in essence, they are forever even though you move on with your life. And sometimes in your darker moments you might revisit those memories to remind yourself of how simple life once was and how much excitement you felt at the time.

The older you get the harder it is to re-visit the exhilaration of youth and the excitement you feel as the world is opened up to you for the first time, as you move out of childhood and into adulthood, so we fantasize about a time long past in our lives when we remember being truly happy and exhilarated by life.

Viva forever, I'l be waiting, ever lasting, like the sun
Live forever, for the moment, ever searching for the one

I read those lines as, the memories of this brief summer romance will live forever in the mind of the young woman as will the memory of being able to live in the moment as a youth, and she will spend the rest of her life looking for the same feeling in another partner (ever searching for the one).

There's no love like the naive love of youth, you think it will last forever and life will be amazing, but then you grow up and realise that life just doesn't work that way, and never again will you enjoy the romance of youth...but you always have your memories.

The Spicies really did capture the essence of a young women in lust with this song, which is why it resonates.

For another song of this ilk check out "Wouldn't it be nice" by the Beach Boys, it explores the same theme.

My InterpretationI was just listening to it and realized the chorus could be from the perspective of a dead or dying lover, that makes the whole everlasting like the sun, I'll wait forever, make more sense.

To me the song is about moving on in a way, living your life in spite of losing the person you thought you were meant to be with, but taking consolation in the fact that every memory with them is something nothing can take away from you, it's something that is still with you and therefor that person is still with you too.

I think the moving on part is not about forgetting and leaving behind but more about peace of mind, the dreamy aspect of the song gives that feeling. The lyrics too, it talks about treasuring memories and keeping them closely guarded in your heart instead of letting them go.

From whoever's perspective the chorus is, the meaning to me is the same, it's about deciding to believe you will meet with that person again, and there's no reason to be discouraged about their absence because they are still there, and either they are waiting for you or you are waiting to meet with them again. Hence the hasta maniana (until tomorrow) it's not a goodbye, it's a "we'll meet again"

I think that's the secret safe with the singer, the fact that their experiences are eternal and that they know they will meet again. They are reassured that they can take their time to live their life since they will have eternity together.
