"2 Become 1" as written by Matt Rowe, Richard Frederick Stannard, Melanie Janine Brown, Victoria Caroline Beckham, Geri Halliwell, Emma Lee Bunton and Melanie Chisholm....
Candle light and soul forever
A dream of you and me together
Say you believe it, say you believe it

Free your mind of doubt and danger
Be for real don't be a stranger
We can achieve it, we can achieve it

Come a little bit closer baby, get it on, get it on
'Cause tonight is the night when two become one

I need some love like I never needed love before
(Wanna make love to ya baby)
I had a little love, now I'm back for more
(Wanna make love to ya baby)
Set your spirit free, it's the only way to be

Silly games that you were playing
Empty words we both were saying
Let's work it out boy, let's work it out boy

Once again if we endevour
Love will bring us back together
Take it or leave it, take it or leave it

Are you as good as I remember baby, get it on, get it on
'Cause tonight is the night when two become one

I need some love like I never needed love before
(Wanna make love to ya baby)
I had a little love, now I'm back for more
(Wanna make love to ya baby)
Set your spirit free, it's the only way to be

Ah, oh wow
Ah, oh wow

Be a little bit wiser baby, put it on, put it on
'Cause tonight is the night when two become one

I need some love like I never needed love before
(Wanna make love to ya baby)
I had a little love, now I'm back for more
(Wanna make love to ya baby)

I need some love like I never needed love before
(Wanna make love to ya baby)
I had a little love, now I'm back for more
(Wanna make love to ya baby)
Set your spirit free, it's the only way to be

It's the only way to be
It's the only way to be

General CommentSo it was about sex this whole time and not just love? Thanks, fellow SongMeanings.net members for ruining my childhood even more. =D

General CommentThere's an issue of Guitar World where Dave Grohl listed this song as a guilty pleasure and said "It's just this slowjam pop shit but I can't get it out of my head". I can relate.

General CommentI think the songs send the right messages. Teens have sex 95% of them do anyway and their trying to send a message out to only have sex with someone you love and use a condom to prevent STD and teen pregnancy. I think this song is perfect towards the teenage audiance. The spice girls had fans of all ages and as you can see they knew how to cover the song up so the younger children couldnt figure out the meaning until they were old enough to learn it and obviously they accomplished that.

General CommentI think this would make a nice song for a wedding night or something. Definitely not for children, but my husband and I both think this is a really romantic song. Kind of sad though how this type of music is popular among younger generations (like me when it first came out), but has lyrics that are more suited for adults.

General CommentI don't think it's necessarily about safe sex. In my opinion, that's really stretching it.

The lyrics are obviously about sex, but I'm not convinced using contraception comes into it. :P

General Commentok i know this song is about getting it on "two become one" but it reminds me of my high school *how quaint* not because i got it on, but because i danced to this song with my high school crush and even though i will always dislike the spice girls..( i bought the single of this song only for this reason) this is a good slow song to dance to. where are you joe....mmmmm memories.
