"No One Knows" as written by and Conner/lanegan....
Don't turn away, you haven't yet awakened
Why don't you stay, remember what you said
Ten thousand miles and everyone's mistaken
Look where you've been
Where every woman's wasted

All the while you've been sleeping
Drifting on a wind never blown
Tomorrow you'll wake up aching
Wondering how, when no one really knows

Don't speak a word of all that you've been saving
If there isn't time then you should let it go
Into the fire and bring back all you've taken
Once more alone you'll never let it show

All the while you've been sleeping
Drifting on a wind never blown
Tomorrow you'll wake up aching
Wondering how, when no one really knows
Now what have I done wrong
Can't you tell me what have I done wrong
Baby tell me what have I done wrong

Don't walk away, you haven't yet awakened
Why don't you stay, remember what you said
Ten thousand miles, and everyone's mistaken
Look where you've been
Where every woman's wasted

All the while you've been sleeping
Drifting on a wind never blown
Tomorrow you'll wake up aching
Wondering how, when no one really knows
Now what have I done wrong
Can't you tell me what have I done wrong
Baby tell me what have I done wrong
Tell me, tell me, tell me, tell me now

General CommentIt's about being being forced to be alone because of an addiction. You eventually become so isolated that you can't have anything and no one else truly knows what it's like. Trying to have a relationship with someone else or with anything is always ruined, but there's still a person alive inside suffering. Alone. That part that still wants all those good things, but knows they can never have them.

General CommentActually it doesn't mean that at all. Please don't think I'm retarded. I was having one of the worst days of my life.

General CommentI think that you have some of it right, not sure about the drug addiction but I am pretty certain it is about a person's problem with their loneliness. All of their life they have become this person and have constantly run away from their problems and no one knows who he really is.
