Rhine wine, Car horn

Now that you've deceived me, and played my name around

And hung those nasty flyers, on all the buildings in town

Dribbled my possessions in a ring around the earth

And bought and sold my self-control for less than it was worth

Now I know the reason that I'm feeling so forlorn

I'll pick you up at eight as usual, listen for my horn

Rhine wine, Car Horn

General Commenti think it might be a bit more than that. just take the first and last line and put them together.

'Now that you've deceived me, and played my name around'
'I'll pick you up at eight as usual, listen for my horn'

im not one to say what its about. could be someones wife fighting with them, an addiction. basicly anything that you like so much, but at times there are bad consequences, and due to either ignorance or persistance, it doesnt change the relationship.

General CommentI think that in this song, the narrator loves someone so much that no matter what they do, be it slander, destruction of material possessions, whatever, the narrator will never stop loving her. She is like a drug to him. Its not good for him, but he still cannot stay away. I think the last line is telling: to the narrator, the signal of their meeting (a car horn) is as intoxicating to him as the finest wine.

General CommentThe song is about getting screwed by a record company! The company is using the band to make money and leaving them. When the band complains it's simply "I'll pick you up at 8 as usual"... the band doesnt have a choice.

General CommentThis song is about a man that is a cuckold. Horn is a term used for the cuckold because everyone knows about his cheating wife except him, or he does know and acts as if he doesn't in order to not lose her. Great song. When done live car horn sounds like cuckold.
