I heard you driving in my car
Then in a frozen bar
I claimed I didn't care for you
But your verse got trapped inside my head
Over and over again
You played yourself to death in me

I thought I'd drop you easily
But that was not to be
You burrowed like a summer tic
So you invade my sleep and confuse my dreams
turn my nights to sleepless itch

Stuck on you 'till the end of time
I'm too tired to fight your rhyme
Stuck on you 'till the end of time
You've got me paralyzed

Holding in the telephone
I hear your midrange moan
You're everywhere inside my room
Even when I'm alone I hear your mellow drone
You're everywhere inside of me

Stuck on you 'till the end of time
I'm too tired to fight your rhyme
Stuck on you 'till the end of time
You've got me trapped
I can't escape your incessant whine
when you beam it out all across the sky
No I can't escape your insipid rhyme
When you shoot it deep
Straight into my mind

"When you shoot it deep straight into my mind" He's obviously referencing heroin here like almost every other song, but they did make a video for this that has him with a girl, so it's probably about obsessing over anything be it a song, drugs or a women. Completely open metaphor really which is perfect.

From a source close to the band:

It is about heroin. However, you cant have a music video on MTV with people shooting up. Plus, for their audience it doesn't have to be about drugs. He just wrote that song with that meaning behind it.

    Solved.

He's probably using a catchy tune as a metaphor for a person he was in a relationship with or something (drugs - heroine in particular?) he's addicted to unwillingly.

This is an awesome song. But yeah, I think it's about becoming absolutely obsessed with someone and enjoying the fact that you can't get them out of your head. I think using a 'catchy tune' as a metapohor for obsession or love is really original...

    My Interpretation

I think this is about first being in denial, but then finally accepting that you are addicted to drugs. "I claimed I didn't care for you" to "I'm too tired to fight your rhyme" meaning accepting that it is now part of your life and routine, "when you shoot it deep".

    My Interpretation

I've always had a kind of buzzy thought in my head that this song may not have been wrote about it, but can certainly relate to the guilt about a hit and run, unwillingly ending up in in murder.

I think it's about heroin addiction, like the rest of the album. You probably have to read kind of deep to get that out of it, but it makes sense when you break it down.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
