"State Of Things" as written by and Oliver/paridjanian Knights....
Blindfold me tie me up or tie me down yeah take me anywhere
Keep your ears close to the ground
Listen to me but don't die laughing
And all things must end yeah
But I can see my fate in your eyes
As I'm stitched up by my friends again
They just can't defend the state of things between

You and me
Used to be on fire

So slip off your shackles
Cause you don't need them where we're going
See what happens just happens
There ain't no straight lines in the state of things
So try to cling on for dear life
And don't forget the world keeps on turning round despite

You and me
Used to be on fire

Now look now
See when we're going
I don't know where I'm going
I don't know

General Commentso they broke up and now he doesnt want her to laugh at him or think poorly of him...
he still longs to be with her and he hurts inside.
his friends must help him get better
they used to be in love

they're free from one another now
things arent as simple as they seem
    but things go on...

General Comment'aint no straight lines in the state of things'
I think this line can be applied to life in general.

There are no straight lines in life, you cant predict whats going to happen.

'the world keeps turning round despite you and i'
I think this line sums up the song: it seems sometimes that things going on in your life are the only important thing to you but you need to remember that the world continues regardless of whats happening in your life and that your such a small part of the world so it puts our petty problems into prospective.
