An extraordinary guy
Can never have an ordinary day
He might live a long goodbye
But that is not for me to say
I dig his friends, I dig his shoes
He is just a child with nothing to lose
But his mind, his mind

They are sleeping while they dream
But then they want to be adored
They who don't say what they mean
Will live and die by their own sword
I dig their friends, I dig their shoes
They are like a child with nothing to lose
In their minds, yeah, their minds

But I'll have my way
In my own time
I'll have my say
My star will shine

'Cause you see me, I got my magic pie
Think of me, yeah that was me, I was that passer by
I've been and now I've gone

There are but a thousand days preparing for a thousand years
Many minds to educate the people who have disappeared
D'you dig my friends? D'you dig my shoes?
I am like a child with nothing to lose in my mind
Yeah, my mind

We'll have our way
In our own time
We'll have our say
'Cause my star's gon' shine

'Cause you see me, I got my magic pie
Think of me, yeah that was me, I was that passer by
I've been and now I've gone

Yeah
Yeah
Yeah

You see me, I got my magic pie
Think of me, yeah that was me, I was that passer by, passer by
Think of me, I got my magic pie
Think of me, yeah that was me, I was that passer by
I've been and now I've gone
Yeah
Yeah
Yeah
(Shut up)

    My Opinion

wow you guys are so fuckin picky. "wahh i dont like the 7 minutes i want 4 minutes wahh. i dont like the chorus, cry wahh this sounds out of place, wahhh" this isn't your song and it wasn't written specifically for you. this is art, written and performed by oasis, for themselves, how they felt, what they wanted to express, etc. respect that and respect the great song that it is. this is real, true, genuine music unlike most of the shit that gets played today. fuckheads like you are the reason Noel and Liam have insulted and said nasty things about Americans in general, because you're picky, ignorant, and full of "rubbish". as an American myself, it's people like you that make the rest of us look bad. have some respect and appreciate the great music that oasis blesses us with.

This song is incredible! It has an amazing power behind it, it just feels good to listen to. Perhaps my favourate from Be Here Now - perhaps one of my favourate Oasis tracks ever. One of the best for a massive alcohol fueled party, beer, sun and BBQ's. But that's what Oasis are all about, isn't it.

Many things to do, but that already been done, obvious attitudes toward daily situations, correct elections toward unexpected proposals, have the questions and never the answers, shine and not seen.

Noel&Liam say..Magic Pie-"I sang this one and of course me and Liam had a row about it, but it's his favourite track now. The first line 'An extraordinary guy can never have an ordinary day' comes from him asking me 'How come you never get into any of the situations I get into?'. And I borrowed something from Tony Blair´s speech at the last Labour conference - 'There are but a thousand days preparing for a thousand years.'"

I love this song, I dont know why but I think of a small child walking, lonely down a street. Then, he loses his sense of lonliness. I dont know, whatever it means I love it,

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
