I wake up, thoughts of you
tattooed to my mind
as I wonder
what to wear, what to eat
who to be, will I see
you again?
and as my car breaks down
I shake my head and say
"what a day"

If you only knew
what I went through just to get to you
I'm hanging from you
and I'll hold on if you want me to

Every bus, every train
every cab, every lane
is jammed
so I look to the sky
and I reach for the planes with my hand
if all my days go wrong
I'll think about last night
it went right

If you only knew
what I went through
just to get to you
I'm hanging from you
and I'll hold on if you want me to

If you only knew what I went through
just to get to you
I'm swinging from you,
and there's nothing I would rather do.

What an innocent, and relaxing song...I love the feeling it brings to me. Being apart from the person you like the most, maybe because of his/her own decision; and being totally uncertain about the future...will you see her/him again? what are you going to do, who would you like to be?...Such a positive way to remember someone so important and touching, even after it's over...cause somehow you are willing to hold on forever. I love how, in your head, it can still be a motivation that makes you walk on and not a depressing thought. Now that I am alone myself, I try to hang on to those positive thoughts and memories somehow.

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”
