"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him.
There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

I'm hot
And when I'm not
I'm cold as ice
Get out of my way
Just step aside
Or pay the price
What I want I take
What I don't I break
And I don't want you
With a flick of my knife
I can change your life
There's nothing you can do
I'm a problem child
I'm a problem child, yes I am
I'm a problem child
And I'm wild
Make my stand
No man's land
On my own
Man in blue
It's up to you
The seed is sown
What I want I stash
What I don't I smash
And you're on my list
Dead or alive
I got a .45
And I never miss
Oh I'm a problem child, yeh
I'm a problem child, owh
I'm a problem child
Desperate and wild
Just watch you step
Every night
Street light
I drink my booze
Some run
Some fight
But I win they lose
What I need I like
What I don't I fight
And I don't like you
Say bye bye
While your still alive
Your time is due
'Cause I'm a problem child, owh
I'm a problem child
I'm a problem child
I'm a problem child
Problem child
I'm a problem child, my mother hates it
I'm a problem child, oh he
I'm a problem child
Hey yeah problem child
Whoa problem child
Problem child
Problem child
I'm hot
And when I'm not
I'm cold as ice
Get out of my way

“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.

There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
Gritty metal :D this song just rocks...Bon Scott sang the original vocals for this right?
Yes. Brian Johnson didn't come in until Back in Black.
This song just rocks! I love hearing it and it's like a lot of their songs-you just wanna blast it!
