"Going Down To Die" as written by and Glenn Danzig....
and I know
that it's true
all the fire
has burned thru
well you know i've played
so hard
and the light
grows so dim
and my time's getting slim
all the words
just don't mean much

and I know I'm saying
and I know that I'm going
to die

in my heart there's a wind
and it swirls up a din
it's so loud
it drowns my mind
till the coin that i pass
to the ferryman's grasp
lets me leave
my pain

so I part
and I'm oh so cold
and I hope to release
my heart
better leave
while my song still calls
it's the truth
that I'm going
to die

General Commentthis is an ode to those suicidal tendencies that swell up within the deepest and darkest parts of our fragile human psyche.

General CommentSounds like a person that wants to die while they still have importance. "better leave
while my song still calls" Better to burn out than fade away type of thinking

General CommentI think its about a dying person, reflecting that he knows he is going to die, he's weak and unable to fight.

My OpinionGon thru a rough breakup with woman of almost 15 years, she has my child and her mother poisoning her head against me...was listening and I like to interpret it close to a recent situation where I just had enough of their shit and I went up to their house and tackled them for the shit and blaming me for stuff that aint mine.....With the woman even though i still love her out fire had burned through and she knows i played hard for last few months, words aint mattering anymore and so when the wind in my heart swirled up a din I knew by goin up there I was sayin goodbye. I am hoping that by passin that coin to the ferryman that I can leave the pain behind and try be happy....and hopin my song still calls....Just my thoughts :)
