"Belly Of The Beast" as written by and Glen Danzig....
Did my time among the creeps
Did my time among the thieves
Did my time among the scores
Did my time among the whores
Did my time among the blessed
Walked among the living dead
Searching up and down this world
Doing things you've never heard

Down in the belly of the beast I lie
All I save is my
Down in the belly of the beast I lie
All I save is my pain

Did my time among the lost
Paying such a heavy cost
Did my time among the cruel
Laying with the broken fools
Did my time among the slaves
Walked around their waiting graves
Did my time among the lies
Watching as they slowly die

Down in the belly of the beast I lie
All I save is my
Down in the belly of the beast I lie
All I save is my
Down in the belly of the beast I lie
All I save is my
Down in the belly of the beast I lie
All I save is my pain

Did my time among the strong
Some are here and some are gone
Did my time among the cursed
Praying that my brain would burst
Did my time among the slaves
Walked upon their living graves
Did my time among the lies
Watching as they slowly die

Down in the belly of the beast I lie
All I save is my
Down in the belly of the beast I lie
All I save is my
Down in the belly of the beast I lie
All I save is my
Down in the belly of the beast I lie
All I save is my pain

All I save
All I save
All I save
All I save

General CommentThis song is incredible! The crunching guitars and Danzig's voice are acocalyptic. You can almost smell the fire and brimstone. This is a perfect song from start to finish.

General CommentI love the way this song flows and how it can really bring your emotions to the surface, but I think all the credit I can give it is to the band and not Glenn Danzig. His voice is gritty, out of tune, and nothing at all like the almost dark-angel smoothness of his voice in the previous albums. During this song, I literally keep clearing my throat as if to signal to Glenn he should also clear his. I can't help it. I wonder how a man with such an amazing voice can be happy croaking out the lyrics to what would otherwise have been an epic song.

No lost points on Belly of the Beast though. It's an incredible song, and even the croaking vocals are tolerable because the music is enough to overpower it.
