"777" as written by and Danzig....
Comes the light
Comes the flame
Comes the child who is

Come the sword
Come the flame
Come the end of bliss's reign

Come the dawn
Come the day
Wake the softest soul up

Come the fire
Come the change
Lick the rose of Venus' shame

Come the night
Come the death
Down the path out of

Seven
Seven
Seven is my name
Seven come
And seven go
And seven
Still remain, yea

Seven
Seven
Seven is my name
Seven on the grandest scale
And seven
Still remain, yea, remain

And the light
And the flame
Take the path on

And the night
And the day
Fall upon the knees of

And the child
In the flames
Cast out of Eden

Seven
Seven
Seven is my name
Seven come
And seven go
And seven
Still remain, yea

Seven
Seven
Seven is my name
Seven on the grandest scale
And seven
Still remain, yea, yea

Seven on
Seven on
Seven on
Remain, yea

General CommentHere's something cool about that. Henley is correct about 777 being the coming of armageddon. Revelation 13:18 names the antichrist as being the number 666. What's cool about these numbers that they are both divisible by thirty-seven and three. If both numbers I just mentioned are multiplied together then you get 111. Watch this...

    37*3 = 111
    37*3*2 = 222
    37*3*3 = 333
    37*3*4 = 444
    37*3*5 = 555
    37*3*6 = 666
    37*3*7 = 777
    37*3*8 = 888
    37*3*9 = 999

and so on into the infinite void. Math is the greatest subject of all time because it's ordered, coherent, and dare I say, as pretty as a field full of lilies. Solomon's robes could never match a field full of lilies or the complexities of the Sierpinski gasket. That's sweetness at its finest. Math and music both fucking rock. I like things that start with M.

General CommentIt's about armageddon, not the coming of the antichrist. 777 is armageddon.

General CommentPerhaps it's about seven babies facing death at seven years old.

General CommentThe song is about Cain's journey through life and his eventual death. Seven is also mention the descendant/sevenfold curse. (Which in the sense of who killed him is apocalyptic in and of itself.)
